We took a bus ride 6,000 feet down to the town called Fusagassa. The area is a popular weekend get-a-way spot for Bogotaians. It is semi-tropical and has a few nice places to stay. We stayed at a new, modern, Catholic nuns facility with pool, ponds, and caged monkeys, and felt very comfortable.
